Brettanomyces (brett for short) is a yeast that may cause 'farmyard' aromas in a wine. It has the wine world divided as to whether it is a fault or not. New World wine producers argue that it is, Old World wine producers are more tolerant.

Furmint is one of the grapes which goes into Tokay, the legendary sweet wine of Hungary, but was once equally valued in Austria especially in the Ausbruch wines of Rust.
